This policy explains what content is allowed, restricted, mature, or banned on BookWormsSociety.
Allowed Content
BookWormsSociety allows many fiction genres and tones, including:
- Romance, fantasy, horror, mystery, thriller, sci-fi, drama, poetry, comedy, and YA fiction.
- Dark or tragic themes when handled responsibly.
- Non-graphic violence in suspense, horror, fantasy, or thriller stories.
- Romantic content that is not explicit or exploitative.
- Mature emotional themes when clearly labeled.
Mature Content
Mature content must be marked correctly and include warnings where needed.
- Violence, blood, or horror imagery.
- Trauma, grief, abuse mentions, kidnapping, stalking, or panic attacks.
- Strong emotional distress or disturbing themes.
- Suggestive romance that does not become explicit pornography.
Banned Content
- Explicit sexual content involving minors.
- Pornographic content or explicit sexual scenes written for arousal.
- Racist, hateful, or dehumanizing content targeting protected groups.
- Graphic torture, gore, or sexual violence presented for shock or enjoyment.
- Instructions for real-world harm, exploitation, scams, or abuse.
- Plagiarized stories, stolen covers, copied worlds, or unauthorized fan-commercial content.
- Images containing nudity, hate symbols, stolen celebrity faces, or graphic violence.
Content Warnings
Use clear warnings when your story or chapter contains sensitive material.

Admin Review
Content may be automatically flagged or manually reviewed if it includes banned words, reader reports, mature themes, suspicious patterns, or repeated rule issues.
Admin may mark content as Clean, Needs Review, Needs Revision, Hidden Pending Review, Rejected, or Banned.
